Description:
This incredible 1/12th scale model is a miniature version of chassis #CSX2431, which was one of the most famous factory-raced 289 Cobras. The actual car, which has now been fully restored, resides in the Shelby American Museum in Colorado. Miles and Shelby used CSX2431 as the development car for the 1964-65 Cobra team cars including the Daytona Coupes. Miles did constant testing and modifying of the car into the 1965 season. Developments and modifications including helm joint a-arms, sway bars, springs final 289 Weber manifold set-up were all first done on CSX2431. The car always carried the BRDC (British Racing Drivers Club) crest on the center of each door.
