Description:
After a 14-year hiatus from racing in the series, the elder Waltrip made his return in 2006, this time behind the wheel of the #99 Aaron's Dream Machine. Waltrip had been the focus of a longstanding storyline in Aaron’s marketing campaigns, where he consistently asks his brother Michael to drive the Dream Machine. (Michael always found some way to deny D.W.'s request.)

Waltrip unvieled his version of the No. 99 Aaron’s Dream Machine and raced the special paint scheme to a 28th place finish in the Goody’s 250 at Martinsville Speedway on July 22, 2006. The diecast we have up for bid today is a 1/24 scale replica of that special paint scheme. It has an Aaron's inspired paint job and the phrase, 'Another for my brother! Darrell Waltrip' on the hood.
