The Petty name is synonymous with racing. From Lee to Richard, to Kyle, each has made his own mark in racing history. Kyle, who followed in his father and grandfathers footsteps, started auto racing in the ARCA Series his senior year of high school. Just months later he moved to the Winston Cup Series where he has continued to uphold the Petty name and tradition of racing. It was in 1991, in the Winston Cup, that Kyle first drove the Mello Yello paint scheme for Felix Sabates Racing. In 1992, Matchbox captured the Mello Yello paint scheme in a collectible Team Convoy set.
