The Samsung 500 was held at Texas Motor Speedway on April 5, 2009. Gordon started in second place that day but made his way to the front. Gordon managed to hold off teammate Jimmie Johnson and grab the victory. This victory marked the first time Gordon had ever won at Texas Motor Speedway.

Most race fans are familiar with the "hat dance". It happens in Victory Lane after every race, where the driver and all the crew members pose for a slew of pictures, changing caps after each shot. The caps feature the logos of all the various sponsors, associate sponsors, and other supporting organizations. This particular cap has the Goodyear Racing logo on the front.
And don't forget, not only are they the hats that Jeff wore, but he has personally signed the bill of each one. If you look closely, you'll see the new holographic decal with serial number over the top of Jeff's signature. Jeff Gordon, Inc. started applying these decals for everything that they have Jeff sign, as a means of tracking the collectible and letting the collectors know that what they are buying is the real deal. In addition, we will include our own Certificate of Authenticty.
